Arch Enemy Chicago Concert reviews
Eric Clapton is an undisputible legend
I purchased tickets as a Christmas gift for my Dad and myself to see Arch Enemy. It was incredible to give him the chance to witness Arch Enemy at 60 with me (25) after previously watching him multiple times when I was 25. The band's energy, particularly Eric's passion, was outstanding. Arch Enemy delivers, that's the bottom line. Their set included classics from Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, and Eric's solo material. The Wallflowers were unfortunately unmemorable. Although I enjoy some of their 90's hits and respect them as musicians, their performance lacked energy. Every member of Arch Enemy's team was exceptional, and being in the presence of a legend was a privilege. Money well spent. The venue, however, was not ideal for a concert in my view. The sound had a lot of empty air space, though it was still impressive. I believe placing the stage in the center would enhance the experience.
